Toxic symptoms such as dyspnea and cyanosis, leading to asphyxia, may occur due to cetrimide's depolarizing muscle relaxant properties. Other possible outcomes include hypotension, coma, death, and CNS depression, sometimes accompanied by excitement and convulsions.
