Adult Dose:
Treatment-naïve, compensated liver disease: 0.5 mg once daily
Lamivudine-refractory or lamivudine/telbivudine resistance: 1 mg once daily
Decompensated liver disease: 1 mg once daily
Pediatric Dose:
≥2 years & ≥10 kg: dose adjusted by weight
<2 years: safety/efficacy not established
16 years: same as adult dosing
Renal Impairment (dose adjustment):
Oral use, on an empty stomach (≥2 hours before or after a meal).
Swallow the tablet whole with water.
Hypersensitivity to entecavir or any component of the formulation.
