Initial dose: Atenolol 50 mg + Chlorthalidone 25 mg once daily.

Renal impairment: Atenolol is excreted via the kidneys, so dosage adjustment may be necessary in severe renal dysfunction.
Elderly: Limited data for patients ≥65 years; start cautiously.

Remove unabsorbed drug (emesis or activated charcoal)
Atenolol can be removed by hemodialysis
