✔️ Itraconazole During Pregnancy & Lactation

Itraconazole is not recommended for use during pregnancy as it may cause harm to the fetus. Also, it is advised to use effective contraceptive measures while taking Itraconazole and for 2 months after stopping treatment with Itraconazole. However, please inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding before taking Itraconazole. Avoid Itracon 200 while breastfeeding as it is known to pass into the mother's milk and affect the baby.

✔️ Interaction

• Medicines used to reduce the acidity when used concomitantly with Itracon 200 may interfere with the effect of this medicine. Their use together must be avoided. If the use of antacids is unavoidable, then there must be a gap of 1-2 hours between the doses of these two medicines.
• Concomitant use of antibiotics like isoniazid, rifabutin, rifampicin, a medicine used to reduce fits like carbamazepine, antiviral medicines like efavirenz, and herbs like St. John's Wort with Itracon 200 must be avoided as they may reduce the effect of this medicine.
• Antibiotics like ciprofloxacin, clarithromycin, and Antiviral medicines like ritonavir, when used together with Itracon 200, tend to increase the effectiveness of this medicine and may increase the risk of side effects. They must be used cautiously.
• Discuss with the doctor regarding the medication or herbal supplement that you take while taking this medicine to avoid interactions.

✔️ Talk to your doctor if

You had or have liver or kidney disease, a heart disorder of irregular rhythm, abnormal electrolyte levels in the blood, or adrenal dysfunction.

You suffer from shortness of breath, unexpected weight gain, swollen legs or stomach, and tiredness. Stop taking this medicine as there may be signs of heart failure.

✔️ Missed a Dose & Overdose

If you have missed taking a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it's time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and follow the regular dosing schedule.

Excess of Itracon 200 may cause irregular heartbeat, fits, headache, stomach pain, nausea, and vomiting. If you have taken too much Itraconazole, contact your doctor or visit the nearest hospital.
